Aims
By the end of this two-day course, the participants will understand the planning and execution of full-mouth reconstructions and be able to predictably restore anterior and posterior TSL cases using layered direct composite resin materials and know how to finish and polish them to a high standard.
Objectives
• Provide a concise update on the available materials and methods to provide predictable adhesive restorations in anterior and posterior teeth.
• Explain occlusal concepts applicable to the treatment of TSL.
• Describe the anatomical landmarks of anterior and posterior teeth.
• Propose a step-by-step build-up of the key anatomical features.
• Demonstrate the use of brushes in creating natural-looking convex anatomy.
• Describe how to apply coloured resins to replicate fissure stain.
Learning Outcomes
• Be capable of treating TSL cases in general practice using high-quality direct composite restorations in both anterior and posterior teeth.
• Understand how to maintain these composite restorations over a long period of time.
