Study Day for Cornwall General Dental Practitioner Group

Aim:
To provide delegates with the tools to take high-quality clinical photos using a variety of devices, to store them appropriately as clinical records and learn how to use them for marketing and social media purposes.

Objectives:
• To give an overview of photography in dentistry
• Discuss the barriers to taking photos and how to overcome them
• Show how to use a digital single-lens reflex camera to take clinical images
• Show how to use cameras on smart phones to take clinical images
• Highlight what accessories can be used to aid the taking of high-quality images
in dentistry
• Explain how advanced lighting options can enhance the quality of images
• Provide a live demonstration on clinical photography
• Facilitate a hands-on practical for delegates in a small group format
• Explain how to take and edit photos ready for marketing and social media.

Dipesh Kothari
Dipesh is a dentist with a special interest in dental photography and implant dentistry. He speaks nationally on implant dentistry and dental photography. His hands-on photography courses are aimed at empowering photographers of all levels to take high-quality, reproducible images and to demystify the more advanced techniques.

Dipesh is a Honorary Lecturer at the University of Bristol. He teaches for the Delta Academy Implant Diploma, is a Young ITI committee member for UK and Ireland and an ITI Fellow.
